Most of these are made in such a way that they are not supposed to damage the doorframe, because they will be touching the frame where there is padding on the bar. Don’t be misled, however, as most of these will eventually damage the doorframe and you will need to replace the trim. If you’re willing to do this one or two times a year, however, it is worth the effort.

The reason why this type of pull up bar is so beneficial is because it also can double as a number of other different type of exercise equipment as well. For example, many of these bars can double as push-up handles, allowing you to go deeper with each push-up and get more out of it. They can also work as something which will immobilize your feet while you are doing situps or crunches. You would probably be surprised with exactly how versatile one of these pieces of exercise equipment can be.

When it comes to doing exercise at home, nothing can quite be what you can get out of doing pull ups regularly. Don’t overlook this exercise and make sure that you have a pull-up bar available in order to do them, any time the mood strikes you. Regardless of whether you have one mounted into the doorframe permanently or if you decide to get one that can be used temporarily, just make sure that it is part of your routine.
